What's the Process & Aftercare
At Skin Rehab Lab, we serve clients from Henderson, Las Vegas, Summerlin, and beyond. During your consultation, we will take the time to discuss your needs and concerns, assess your scars or stretch marks, and propose a personalized treatment plan. Our goal is to ensure you are completely comfortable with the proposed treatment before proceeding.
Color Matching
We will prepare a range of custom-blended pigments specifically for your skin tone, ensuring a seamless and natural appearance.
Tattooing
Before beginning the treatment, a local anesthetic cream will be applied to make the procedure as comfortable as possible.
Healing
Post-treatment, a healing balm will be applied to protect the treated area, and if necessary, a light dressing may be used. Healing time varies by person, but minor irritation typically subsides by the next day. The top layers of skin generally heal within 7 days, while deeper healing continues for up to 6 weeks.
AFTERCARE: Important Things to Know
- Immediately After Treatment:
- Avoid exercising for the first 3 days to prevent sweating and irritation.
- Refrain from washing the treated area with soap on the first and second day.
From the Third Day Onward:
- Begin using an antiseptic and antibacterial soap on the treated area. Avoid scented soaps to prevent potential allergic reactions.
- Continue to avoid direct sun exposure until any pigmentation has fully settled, typically around 6-8 weeks.
- Avoid indoor pools and Jacuzzis for 10 days to minimize the risk of infections.
Ongoing Care:
- Do not apply body lotion to the treated area for one month.
- Apply healing balm or unscented A&D ointment every morning for two months, starting the day after your appointment.
- Apply serums or healing balm every night, beginning on the day of your appointment.
- Resist the urge to scratch the treated area and refrain from removing any scabs if they develop.
- By following these aftercare instructions, you will maximize the results of your treatment and support the healing process, leading to a more even and natural appearance.
